The clan:
1 sleep deprived, and rather naive, normally laid back but pushed to the limit mom
1 RADling who never does very well in public
1 tiny dynamite package who was exposed to drugs in utero and can only talk at decibel 5, and "hyper" is the understatement of the year
1 thus far very relaxed and content baby who suddenly thought the world was out to get her
3 other girls without any specific ailments unless no tolerance and no patience is considered sickness
About 50 more coughing, sneezing, THROWING UP (I kid not, 2 seats over from my preemie, no attempt to even leave the room just cradling the trash can she brought from home!), feverish people in a much too little waiting room
3 hours, people, THREE HOURS!!!! I really thought I was going to have a full out panic attack. I'm an idiot. I think that was even more stupid than going to Wal-Mart with all of them.
Satisfaction? Shmatisfaction. I'm sure that feeling will return, but for now the girl who wrote that is no where to be found!

Oh my WORD!! I would have been having a panic attack too!!!!! Puking right by you! I think I would have HAD to have left at that point. UGH!
Oh goodness. We don't use drs here. And for very good reasons besides what you just listed.
Geesh, what a time you had. We must go to the same ped. Do you go in PB? I swear I will not take my kids there anymore unless it's life threatening. We've spent too many hours in the waiting room. SO sorry you had such a crazy time of it. I don't think I would have lasted as long as you did!

Let me get this straight....someone sitting in the waiting room with a trash can, throwing up in front of everyone...SERIOUSLY??? EEEWWWWW!!!! Some people have no dignity...
As for the three hours, I can totally believe that. It's why I put off going unless it is life or death. I need to go to the doctor but I cannot stand the thought of sitting amongst sick people that long!
Oh girl... I cannot even imagine!! I've sat in there for hours just for a well baby visit and nearly left in tears I was so stressed after dealing with just my THREE kids. (that were healthy!) Has someone offered to bake you brownies? ;)
I hope everyone is on the mend soon! When did you guys get sick? You seemed fine Sunday! Sheesh!
We have a great ped, he has HORRIBLE bedside manner but if my appt is at 9:30 he can get all three kids in and out, he'll call in meds we drive through and we're home by 10 or 10:15 at the latest. The ER on the other hand....9 hours is a good deal.
I would have slipped into a quiet coma of stress!!!!!!!!! Ugh. I feel ya and feel FOR ya! It will make tomorrow seem peaceful and perfect no matter what it brings.
